I’ve heard the phrase “Let go, and let God” many times. But recently, I’ve understood better the benefits of actually doing it. It has allowed me to keep my peace, and my spiritual inheritance.
I was watching a video by an amazing woman of God (Joann Rosario Condrey) — and she spoke about how everything in God’s Kingdom begins with a seed. And, when we walk in holiness with God, He will rain on us in due season — and His seed will yield much fruit.
Leviticus 26:3-4 If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.
That scripture offers so much hope to God’s children who strive to walk in union with Him daily. Who wouldn’t want a plentiful harvest from our Heavenly Father? I surely do.
Yesterday, God helped me understand that the enemy also plants seeds — and if we don’t immediately get rid of them, they can prevent us from receiving the harvest God has for us. Pastor Joann helped me understand that anything God rains on multiplies. He’s not going to rain on us to multiply seeds from the enemy.
The devil is a hater. It sounds cliché, but it could not be more true. He’ll do anything to block your blessings. That includes planting seeds of anger, bitterness, hate, jealously, unforgiveness, fear, worry and anything that makes you feel less than worthy of God’s love. He knows that God is not going to rain on you as long as his seeds are there!
Uprooting the enemy’s plantings is not our battle. God does that for His children — but first we have to give Him everything that burdens our hearts.
Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
Psalm 55:22 Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
The moment you feel angry at your family member, co-worker, neighbor, driver in traffic, or whoever — remember the devil is trying to rob you with that anger. He’s trying to strip you with that bitterness, and deprive you with those grudges. Tell your Heavenly Father to take it away asap!
Ephesians 4:26-27 And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
Give it to God, and trust that He will take it away. Don’t dwell in it, and don’t tell yourself why you have reason to be mad (or whatever you’re feeling). Get as far away from it as you can, and let your Father finish the work.
Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
It’s as simple as saying, “Father, please take this anger, hurt, frustration, irritation, fear, doubt, unforgiveness away right now before it grows. Kill every part of it now. I’m yours, and it cannot live here in the name of Jesus.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Sometimes, it’s not easy to give up our anger, unforgiveness, and worry etc. because the flesh is weak and is pulled towards it. Acknowledge to your Heavenly Father that the enemy has tried to plant it — and give it away to God. At first, you might have to count to ten (lol) or think hard about your blessings… Do whatever you have to do to remove yourself from it– and Your Father will erase it. I’ve spoken directly to those seeds saying, “You can’t live here in the name of Jesus” — and my Father kills them. It’s something I had to learn, and I pray this blog blesses you.
Give it to Him every time you feel anything that is not like Him. Ask Him to take it before it grows roots. You might have to do it several times a day for several different reasons.
Be a witness for your Heavenly Father in the face of the enemy by letting go of those harmful seeds.
Isaiah 43:10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.
Let God handle the enemy’s seeds, and they will not grow. He will prove who really has the authority over you. He will serve the enemy’s eviction notice. And you can trust that God’s rain will come in it’s due season.
Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
The Holy Spirit ministered something to me this week that can benefit all of us. I never thought of it in the way it was explained — but it makes total sense.
A person’s speech reflects their purpose. If a person’s heart is not in line with God’s spirit, their speech will reflect it.
I personally know that when we practice bad speech, it’s almost natural to say things that aren’t supposed to come out of the mouths of God’s children.
Ephesians 5:4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes–these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.
Be kind to one another. Don’t let a bad saying come out of your mouth. Keep God in your heart, and He will make your speech a precious sound.
Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Your speech hosts miraculous power when you speak the word of God from a clean heart. A clean heart is the backbone of a miracle.
A clean heart has no tolerance for a wicked tongue. The word of God is sharper than a double-edged sword. It cuts to the soul. The deepest part of any creature in the physical realm is the soul — and God’s word reaches it when spoken from a clean heart.
It would be unwise for us to believe that we can use our mouths to say disgusting things, and then ask God for His promises. His promises are for those clean of heart and mind. A clean heart has no tolerance for a wicked tongue.
Speech is a reflection of the hearts motive.
Luke 6:45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Proverbs 13:3 Those who guard their lips preserve their lives, but those who speak rashly will come to ruin.
The Holy Spirit revealed to me that a person’s praise will bring forth their purpose — and their purpose will bring forth praise. If a person’s speech reflects the inward parts of their heart, how would praise from an obscene mouth smell to our Heavenly Father?
Let’s be conscious of the way we speak, so that we are not presenting a filthy fragrance before God.
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.
It would be plagiarism if I allow you to think that I wrote this article. The worst thing I can do is pretend to be wise. It grieves the Holy Spirit. The truth is, I typed the message — but, my Heavenly Father gave me the words. The words that I share are from Him. He is my Provider. Draw near to Him. We wants to uniquely share with every one of His children by power of His precious Holy Spirit.
James 4:8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
